The Edit: Jaimie's Picks

Talking Boston, Beauty, and Shop Things. My Picks.
For those who do not recognize my name, I started working at C+L in 2019 as a Shop Girl: merchandising, shipping, receiving, helping you in the fitting room, etc. Today I'm focused on buying for Apothecary and hello, it's me, behind our Instagram.

2020 shop girl at Covet + Lou in Needham
I'm so happy that Summer, my favorite season, is here. The water is calling my name and I just got my hands on strawberries from the farmer's market. I was recently in Boston for our annual Warehouse Sale. Here's what caught my eye and what I'm into these days.
A lot of my picks are things I already own and love along with a few deep Wishlist items sprinkled in. Please enjoy.
AROUND THE CITY
After Warehouse Day One I went to Bar Vlaha for dinner in Brookline. So good. I got the aradopita (cornmeal, wild greens, feta) and beets. A dessert was shared. A baklava dessert with perfect olive oil ice cream. Highly recommend if you haven't already been.

In the library courtyard with my Amiacalva bag I always travel with. Wearing a dress from 6397 and SSONE Rowan. I am obsessed with SSONE's color palette. I have Rowan, Anise, Lotus, and Second Skin. I have my eye on An Unexpected Red next because it looks like the perfect orangey-red.
BEAUTY

Speaking of nails. I brought the Bare Hands Dry Gloss Manicure Kit with me in my bag for touch ups. I will usually wear polish on my toes and keep my hands natural. The Bare Hands kit is seriously great. The glass polisher makes your nails nice and shiny and the citrine cuticle oil smells so good. I thought the smell would be pure citrus, but it's not. It also has ylang ylang. I could be wrong but I get a little vetiver when I'm using it too. Wearing Maria McManus Drawstring Pant [similar here] and my Le Monde Béryl Luna Slipper which has quickly become my favorite flat [I wear them a lot].
Monastery's special edition floral essence in collaboration with Sofia Coppola is at the top of my Wishlist because of the scent alone. Athena is an expert when it comes to combining ingredient product effectiveness + sensory pleasure (the scents and the packaging aesthetic). Here's what's in the floral essence: rose water, rosewood leaf oil, rose oil, ambrette hibiscus oil, orchid oil, orange bitter oil. Simple, but so elevated. I will spray myself with our sample in the shop whenever I get the chance. I also love Attar.
