Tamaki Niime

Designer Niime Tamaki started her own brand “tamaki niime” in 2006 in pursuit of establishing a new interpretation and furthering the developments of Banshu-ori, the making of ancient cotton textiles by dyeing, weaving and finishing in one continuous production cycle. Based in Japan, the brand uses vintage looms and knitting machines to produce original fabrics. In 2012, Niime began growing organic cotton with the goal of sourcing materials with 100% traceability in the future.
