Susan Alexandra
New York-based Susan Alexandra was raised in the Midwest. When she was seven, she scored her first copy of Vogue. The cover featured Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta wearing Isaac Mizrahi ball gowns in bright purple and pink. She was completely enthralled. After earning her degree in fashion and marketing, Susan studied in Chicago under fashion doyenne Ikram Goldman and later went on to work at Jean Paul Gaultier, Interview magazine, and Jill Platner in New York. Her colorful hand painted bracelets and cuffs, featuring bronze, vintage baubles, and hand sculpted clay beads, are all made in Manhattan. She is a Scorpio, which is important.
Why we Covet: Susan's brightly colored designs are whimsical and wonderfully eye-catching.
