Japanese leather brand Hender Scheme was founded by Ryo Kashiwazaki, initially a philosophy student with a passion for breaking societal gender norms through design. The brand emerged after Kashiwazaki learned leather craftsmanship from Tokyo's skilled artisans. Based in traditional shokunin practices, Hender Scheme offers handcrafted leather goods in natural and vegetable-dyed hides that develop a beautiful and unique patina with regular wear and exposure.
