Travel: Vermont in the Fall

It doesn't get more quintessentially New England than Vermont in fall. The crisp autumn air, color burst of foliage, and never ending flow of hand crafted beer make this a perfect weekend destination.

Dave, the twins, and I recently visited Burlington, a charming town in the Lake Champlain region, to show the girls where their dad spent his formative years at St. Michael's College.  We enjoyed our comfort meals at Penny Cluse Cafe and American Flatbread, got our hands on a case of the the almost mythical Heady Topper, and hunted for treasures at Barge Canal Market.

And if you can't make it to this lovely spot for a visit, let us provide you with some Vermontian inspiration, Covet + Lou style.
