Our Favorite Things: Camp Wandawega

Even though summer is just winding down, I am already feeling nostalgic about the months the twins and I just spent in Wisconsin.  Clear and fresh air, state fair culinary delights, and endless time with family all contributed to a magical visit.

Next year, Camp Wandawega in Elkhorn, Wisconsin is at the top of my list of Must's.  Originally The Wandawega Hotel, opened in 1925 as a place for Chicagoans to elude Prohibition, this space has been transformed over the years into the rustic, idyllic and beautifully designed campground enjoyed by families, the local community, and the fashion set alike.

This little piece of the Midwest also makes the perfect backdrop for the fall season that is upon us.  Happy camping, Folks!
