Hartland Brooklyn

Hartland Brooklyn was started by Emily Johnson in the summer of 2012.  She grew up in the little town of Hartland in western New York on her parent's dried flower farm.  After moving to NYC and working in the fashion industry for a few years, she began making cards in her apartment in Brooklyn.  Both places have a strong influence within the designs.  The unique color palette and fresh shades of neon create a cheerful optimistic take on stationery.  Each illustration begins with pen and paper, and the simple graphic lines give every piece a hand made, painted feel.  They are printed locally with vegetable based inks, and all envelopes are made from recycled paper bags.
